what blogging website is good for teens?

i want a blog but i dont want my own website. i want one where i can post things, or have my own profile on that website. dose this make sense?

also what age do you think is appropriate to have your own blog? im 13, entering 8th grade and im shy, i dont like to speak my mind to people i know, so i figured a blog/profile would be a good idea.

I was wondering if this laptop was worth getting? I would be using it for a media/schoolwork computer. I have a lot of music and video, and i use itunes a lot….. also, is this computer good for social networking: myspace, facebook ect… feedback would be appericated

i have these that i want to write down or keep in a certain spot so i can improve on them because they really make some original ideas for some short stories and possibly novels.

What is your forecast for Web 3.0?

Here’s the essence of the Wiki definition of Web 2.0:

“Web 2.0, a phrase coined by O’Reilly Media in 2004, refers to a perceived or proposed second generation of Internet-based services—such as social networking sites, wikis, communication tools, and folksonomies—that emphasize online collaboration and sharing among users”

What is your definition of what Web 3.0 will be (and how it will compare and relate to Web 1.0 and Web 2.0)?

Please keep tech lingo to a bare minimum – I’m looking for concepts and visions, not computer jargon.

Thanks alot for everyone’s input!!

.

I tried blogger, but it’s too complicated and it doesn’t seem like people respond or subscribe easily.

Okay, so I read about Google’s Clouds and remember that Folding@Home exists on PS3, and I’m guessing that each further incarnation of the Web is meant to lead to a Matrix-like reality where you can easily blur between the real and the digital on the fly. Like, Web 1.0 was when the Internet started, right? Was it about being basic and more individualistic and simple with JUST text and pictures and e-mail than anything else? And Web 2.0 is about turning the Internet into a business-driven network medium, right, with social networking and wikis at the center of this? SO, is Web 3.0 about making the Internet self-aware enough so that it can assist web users based on personal knowledge of the web user? OR is it about making the Internet “simpler” by turning it into one single encyclopedia of knowledge? If that’s the case, wouldn’t either scenario be not desired? If you have an AI that knows you well enough to think 3 steps ahead of you, wouldn’t that be scary? Help me understand pleaz

I read the Yahoo article on how a few bloggers are making a lot of money. But there are 30 million of us who mostly do it for free. To get advertising, do you contact companies to solicit ads directly and, if so, what kind of statistics do you need to give them (topic of blog, real traffic, likely target audience, etc?) It would be good to know the steps to attract advertising directly rather than relying on middlemen (although a list of those would be good to have, too). Thanks for any help..

is it too much tags? these are all the tags i put in

So, I really want to start a blog, where I can also submit vlogs every once in a while.
What is a good quality, reliable site I can use that is made for this purpose?

Personally, I am not a fan of Livejournal or Twitter, so those are out of the question.
Thanks!

Which processor should I get?

I’ve been looking at several processors, and I’ve managed to narrow it down to 4. I’m just not sure about the number of cores that I need, so…

The processors I looked at:

AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.8GHz Dual-core

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103714

$50.99

AMD Athlon II X3 440 3.0GHz Triple-core

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103843

$74.99

AMD Athlon II X4 620 2.6GHz Quad-core

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103706

$89.00

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz Six-core

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103851

$197.99

Just so you know, they’re all Socket AM3.

I’d be using my computer mainly for photo editing, HD video editing, MMOs, games like StarCraft 2, media viewing, office programs, and internet (social networking, email, news, etc).

Which processor do you think would be best, for the price? The more “future-proof” the processor is, the better. If I have to shell out $200 for the Phenom II X6, then okay, I will, but I’d prefer to spend less money.
